Gen 5's stakes being "Pokemon and people could be separated" was really refreshing and I wish we got more plots with that sort of deviance from the norm.
Pokemon toning it down to be more kid friendly with the evil teams, on top of feeling like every game needed one, sorta got old for me personally.
Team Rocket killing that Cubone's mother, the girl in Pokemon Tower questioning why her Growlithe died, Rockets straight up robbing people...the earlier days of Pokemon made the world feel just as menacing as it was fun and as someone with edgy tastes anyway it really appealed to me as a child! I was 5 or 6 then.
That's probably why I have such a soft spot for Team Rocket and thinking about them abusing me...>>45172317We just should ignore them.
