>>51291547>>51291847I think gardevoir might be flawed in the way that they made it too humanlike. Thats why they never made it eat out of a dog bowl. Same applies to lucario and cinderace. The animators knew they would have to cross some sort of line if they wanted to have pokemon like those three eat out of dog bowls on the floor so it never happened. But that line shouldnt be there because they are normal pokemon on the same hierarchy as all the other non legendary/mythical pokemon. Nevermind gardevoirs' supposed superior intelligence to humans, their designs alone would make it uncanny for them to be eating and acting like dogs.
The answer would be scrap the designs and just form a new design more in line with animalistic qualities, or go the opposite direction and promote these pokemon in a way which makes them seem exceptionally humanlike, and in a way the latter happened. Gardevoir (kirlia too) got its dex entries promoting the idea shes very intelligent, lucario got an entire movie where its using telepathy and is on par with the human protagonists, cinderace is known to play soccer which is a human sport, and all three have displayed more humanlike behavior on many occasions.
