My favourite is still Feraligatr. I think in 2D era Gen 4 starters are pretty good. I don't really have any strong feelings about Gen 3 starters. Gen 5 starters are shit but I do like Samurott's design.
For 3D era, Gen 7 starters are fun to use for battles but I think I like Gen 8 starters' designs the most. Rillaboom is a cool design which haven't been a case since Gen 5, and Cinderace isn't overly feminine or ugly. I hated how they favour Greninja more over other Gen 6 starters and Delphox is ugly in 3DS, I only like Chesnaught for design but it's garbage in battle.
