>>47869183>little gary stuExcept he isn't one. He's as much as a Gary Stu as Ash is in most his time on screen. Even the show has given proper explanations or even outright shown you the downright reason to whatever you perceive to be "handed" to him.
>SuicunePoisoned and baited by Hunters. He legit saved it by throwing a Pokeball when it was weakened, poisoned and in a net from the Hunters. If anything Hunters in Pokemon have always been retarded since they never seem to remember Pokeballs lock the Mon to the owner of said Ball.
>Scorbunny EvoHis literal bloodhound early on. It even got this rule introduced with Scyther as he realized that just throwing balls wouldn't always work. Hell they even make a joke out of it with Dewgong eating up most of his Pokeballs when Ash got his Dragonite.
>Sobble EvoNot even having to do with Goh and more to do with Sobble playing pretend and trying to emulate Inteleon as best he can. Quite literally a child following his role model and getting into hobbies to hopefully emulate them.
>EternatusCaught by both Ash and Goh technically speaking but belongs to Goh because he's alreayd known to carry Pokeballs everywhere so it made logical sense that he had one ready to go. He doesn't even get to use it as it's sealed away.
>Other characters who have all worked their asses off got handed less than this little turd.Other characters tend to be battlers who hone their skills with specific Pokemon types or even a specific Pokemon in mind. Their rewards are not even comparable to a Scholarly goal like Goh. Ash is probably the most rewarded at this point with a League win, multiple region clears, a Mythical, a Ultra Beast, a unique form with Greninja and a Unique Evo. The difference here is his goals and rewards make sense with his mindset and style of character. Just admit you prefer battles over a small autist wanting to catch them all. I wouldn't argue against that preference and would admit it would be nice to see him battle.
