>>54278064You want to play Vega instead, it's the Emerald to Sirius and Altair. And if you want my expert opinion, you want to play the balance hack. Vanilla Vega has one of the most miserable level curves of any fangame I've ever played, with Gym Leader and boss trainers being 20 levels higher than route trainers in some cases. The rebalance doesn't tamper with the difficulty too much, just fixes the level curve to be a bit more sane. Other than that it's still one of the best fakemon rosters of all time, which is impressive considering it's old as shit now. It has a pretty cool campaign and a really good postgame where almost every route gets a new area, encounter table, and trainers, and a postgame campaign ending with a very overpowered but fun final boss. Also, the Mos is based. If you want pokemon recommendations, I love Serplant, Dizasol, Wisplode, and especially Hantama. The postgame has almost as many new pokemon so there's incentive to do another lap around the region to look for secrets and keep leveling against the new trainers. I remember the Luvdisc evo, Valentide, and the alternate Ralts evo, Glamarde, being particularly fun.
