To explain with what i wrote in 1 and 2...
I realize Sid is just running from what he needs to face, he runs from the fact that his father is dead by taking the job from the Guild detachment, moving to Treasure Town, and leaving on the ship. Everything he is doing is to run from the meat of the problem which is that he cannot enjoy himself. To be honest i think i can understand what im writing better if at the end of writing a chapter i explain just a bit or leave clues to help the reader understand it a bit here in spoiler text.
