And that's 1000. I could probably take 100k pokedollars and buy a medical kit and a collapsible baton with plenty left over, because I could definitely get a high-end first aid kit and a police-issue asp baton in this world for far less than a thousand dollars, but that assumes that things not available in the games would actually be available, which isn't necessarily a given.
It's cool that I start in Johto, too because, since basically the only big city in Johto is Goldenrod, I'd have pretty easy access to both Voltorb Flip and the Arcade in Celadon, via the Magnet Train, which I could get a decent edge on with Number Crunch, and just sell whatever winnings I don't want to keep.
Next Adventure for when I'm done. Once you've tasted adventure, why would you want to go back?
