I vaguely remember one existing where she reunites with late-OS Ash just before the Johto League, but I remember that one kinda going off the rails because the author made the strange decision to keep it going into an alternate AG, and it petered out, rather than doing something more self-contained. I see potential in Serena showing up to the Indigo Plateau during Ash's first League purely by chance and that snowballing into something, or a better-executed version of the Johto League one. This is just one of those concepts I've always been interested in seeing play out.
