I remember being very angry that I missed the boat on any promotions where you could get one legit, and it was even more frustrating that all the rumors (the truck, talking to GameFreak after catching 150 Pokemon, etc.) turned out to be false. It didn't help that I was also going through something similar with Celebi in Gen 2 and felt doubly screwed over because I found out that people in Japan could get one in Crystal. So to finally find something that worked made me totally ecstatic.
