Even knowing that most of her treatment of Kieran was due to overprotectiveness rather than malice, some scenes make her seem far worse than the writers probably intentioned to be. I don’t think “Its not like I hit him or anything!“ is the type of thing a character should say when their guardians tells them to be nicer to their little brother, especially when especially when that little bother seems to be the most common target of that character’s anger fits.
Weirdly, the last scene where does her says Arven he can flex on Kiki whenever he wants, everyone just stares then someone says she has a “big personality” she does her seething thing, then everyone (Carmine included) laughs. So at least part of her anger is actually some weird attempt at humor. She’s just socially inept enough to not realize that scowling and shaking your fists at minor things isn’t most people’s idea of funny.
