Hey guys, I was doing my daily writing, and I thought of a couple questions I would like some opinions on.
If I establish a character as a young man/woman, is it strange to then refer to them as boy/girl. I write primarily in third person, and calling a character by their name over and over gets redundant, so I like to mix it up.
Also, is it strange or perhaps, unprofessional, to use "..." to represent nothing happening for a moment?. For exampe:
>A girl knocked on the door.
>"..."
>There was no reply.
