I am firmly a grass man but the water starters usually have the most fun energy to them, so it might be Squirtle, Totodile, or Oshawott. Oshawott is the one time I've actively wanted to chose a non-grass starter on first go round, but that might have just as much to do with Smugleaf not doing it for me.
