>>35602629Because you're being a dumbass and shitting on a game because it has elements YOU PERSONALLY DO NOT LIKE. You're the one being a judgmental fuck and criticizing anyone who takes competitive seriously.
>Thats too bad dude? No one can change that. Can play a better format, like Smogon singles.
>This sounds a lot like projection.Have you even played the game? Play a few matches and you will have your proof. I'm not pulling this shit out of my ass.
I'm not sure you know what "projection" means in this sort of context. And I've played lots of competitive. 99% of the time I lose a match, it's because of my own failings in the actual game. And when I win, it's usually because I did well. Or the opponent was that much of a shitter.
The battles where luck decides the outcome are battles between players of similar skill level. If there's a huge gap between the two, no amount of luck will fix that. Again, it just ends up being the difference between a 6 - 0 and a 5 - 0. RNG doesn't reward bad players.
>Which is why it's a set up sweeper? Can said set-up sweeper handle Heatran or some other fire type counter? What if he had predicted your set-up sweeper and switched into a phazer or another sort of counter? You're assuming your scare and set-up plot would work. Assuming that Gyro Ball was a crit on the switch, you do realize your opponent could have predicted your set-up and just used Gyro Ball a second time, right?
>skewed the matchYou don't know this for sure. The defining element of Competitive Pokemon isn't RNG, it's the human players.
They could have easily predicted your set-up and acted accordingly. Happened to me lots of times.
