Thought he was kinda plain when he was introduced in GS. Battling him the first time when I was a kid does still stand out to me, as I was stuck with Togepi because Gengar used Mean Look, I whittled him down with Metronome but we got locked into a “but it had no effect” until I could finally use Struggle and take him down slowly (I was not good at the game yet as a kid)
I remember thinking he seemed like a decent bro when I first saw him in the Johto ashime, bit more personality than the games. Seemed like a mysterious dude, but genuinely nice. Went back and watched his episodes recently, his character still holds up occurred to me he’s played by Andrew Rannells
I dig his HGSS makeover, kinda prefer his new hairstyle over his original. He looks sharp. I like meeting up with him at Bellchime Trail, it feels so fitting being in my favorite part of the game alone with him <3
Despite not having any lines and only showing up briefly, I like the couple interactions he has with his Gengar in Pokemon Evolutions and seeing their personalities.
I don’t play Masters but I watch the stories online, that has to be one of his better portrayals. He gets so many great alt costumes, I’ve been eating really good with him the last few years thanks to that game.
