Can we just agree that there's no real design theme document, and at best it's just Game Freak trying to find marketable designs every gen? There's so much stuff for Pokemon the fandom will NEVER get an answer for, and I'm willing to bet there's no 100% correct answer. It could've been a coincidence for awhile that they spotted out and decided to roll with, or they just pick generally popular animals like a Fennec fox and try to make a design out of it that earns them lots of money. Whatever the case is, I'm willing to bet that, even if Pokemon's empire collapsed suddenly by some strange happenstance, we would STILL not get an answer. All these fan theories are just that, fan theories that have cults of people surrounding them that use death of an author and fake common knowledge to spout whatever they believe in which has never been confirmed, and get mad at shit like Pokemon shrinking because it doesn't align with their head canon (whether it's stupid or not is another matter entirely).
I know you Pokefags have literally nothing better to do than to yell at one another, but surely all of you know that this is nothing more than fuel for shitposters to perpetuate a big argument that ultimately doesn't matter and never will.
