This is Gamefreak we're talking about. It's more or less going to look exactly the same with only the glaring flaws fixed and nothing more. The game isn't going to look all that better than what was shown because Gamefreak is only going to fix and tweak what is absolutely necessary. They're the epitome of "dump and done" or "good enough" developers.
"It runs and it looks fine", so they aren't going to bother prettying it up or optimizing the game's files/code.

Yeah, that's because those Pokemon are what everybody found on the first few routes on their first playthrough. Bibarel is the only one I can't argue, since its use as an HM Slave is undeniable. There's plenty else to use, you just have shit taste and aren't willing to go outside of your comfort zone.

BW2 are pretty good. People complain about Pokestar Studios and the sewer sections, but they're blown out of proportion. What's 5 minutes of your time and a couple of repels?
My only gripes about BW is how awful the starter selection is. 100% Box every time.

Pokemon was inspired by bug-catching and bugs are crazy abundant. Ghosts, Dragons, and Fairies are supernatural or mythical creatures. In other words, they're special. If a new "species" type were to be added, it would have to be a new type of special being.
You can't just rattle shit off like "Dog", "Cat", or "Mouse" and say "Yes, this is a good idea for a type." People don't come up with more "vague species" type because all grounds have been covered. Plus, we don't need an influx of dog or cat-mons.
Sound is the most practical idea for a new type, although it's certainly fine as Normal and an attack property. Shit like Light, Cosmos, or whatever else people come up with can also be represented by other types.

some of the gen 4 cross evos are good, some i'm indifferent towards, and a few are bad.
