>>33376328>>33376480>>33376589For those anons thinking about a Chess Heirlockle, I did a trial run on Red++ with these rules:
1. Upon catch, assign a Chess Role to the poke (I used random number generator, using numbers 1-16 to assign a Role)
2. Capturing and rules ceases after having a full team of 6
3. Cannot use PC to deposit poke ( I did use PC to store dead pokes in last box)
4. King poke, whenever it is caught, must always be in your party
5. If your King dies, the run is over
6. Queen has no replacement. Rook, Bishop, Knight have 1 replacement (2 of each total). Pawns have a total of 8.
Chess Roles and rules associated with each Role:
King: Cannot evolve. Must always be in party once caught. Can be taught any TMs, HMs. Can use all items in battle. Can run away from battles.
Queen: Can evolve. Can be taught any TMs, HMs. Can use any item in battle. Can run away.
Rook: Can evolve. Can be taught any TMs, HMs. Cannot use items in battle. Cannot run away.
Bishop: Can evolve. Can use healing items in battle. Cannot be taught TMs. Cannot run away.
Knight: Can evolve. Can use battle items in battle. Cannot be taught TMs. Can run away from battles.
Pawns. Cannot evolve. Cannot use any items in battle. Cannot run away. Cannot be taught TMs. Can be taught HMs. Can evolve 1 stage after "promotion" by winning a boss/gym fight.
This is how my run started:
>A bunch of Pawns. It was hard to stop the pokes from evolving and I had to soft reset the quite a bit to avoid that. >Defeat Brock with Pawns Charmander, Rattata and Kakuna (accidentally evolved from a Weedle)>Beat Mt. Moon>Catch a Rook, the first of my major pieces outside Mt. Moon, a Mankey >Gary KOs Pawn Graveler and Rook Mankey>Clear Nugget Bridge>Catch Pawn Oddish, perfect for water gym>Go to south to Rout 5 first for more training before gym>CATCH KING PIDGEY>Then King Pidgey dies to Doudou :,(
