No abilities, no items, no later gen evolutions, no wild battles (except legendaries), no breeding, no sevii islands, no substantial new content, completely dead online, forced exp share, and koga's gym requires you to have caught 50 unique pokemon. When docked you are forced to use motion controls to throw the ball and the game has to be played with 1 joy-con (all other controllers disabled). If you're friends with whoever offline then have them lend you the cartridge for a day or two, or have them portably bring their switch to you so you can try it if digital.
