Satoshi develop the same love his grandfather have for pokemon including battle even thought Grandfather Sathoshi wasn’t a good trainer. Another reason Satoshi was bullied in school. He never saw Satoshi start his journey as a trainer he pass away a year before Satoshi dream of becoming a pokemon master started.
