I'm having a bit of trouble with worldbuilding. I'd like a little bit of feedback on my story because I'm in the dark right now with no idea where to take it.
About midway through the game, you get to a town at the top of a mountain. You witness an NPC leave the mart in a hurry. It turns out the mart was robbed. If you follow where he goes, you'll find the town's abandoned church is filled with boxes of stolen goods. You are ambushed by a group of Burglar and Sage-class trainers, with the final trainer appearing as a sort of cult leader. Should I treat them as an actual cult, or just people posing as religious figures in order to enter the church without raising much suspicion?
I'm unsure if I want them to appear later in
>>40308864, or have a different group of burglars. The story reason for you entering this hideout in the first place is to recover a stolen Poke Flute that the antagonists want to use to awaken a Snorlax to capture.
Story in general has been pretty light, with most of it just being various optional sidequests. Mostly to avoid situations like this.
