Although Connecting Cave is separated into two areas, one dominated by Zuzus, the other by Woobies, there's a path that allows intervention into either portion.
That path is just big and wide enough to act as a battlefield for a war that's so heated that it's been going since...a few weeks ago.
According to the plan, your objective is pretty much a bomb run. As General Cancerous said himself earlier: escort at least five Zubat soldiers to the Woobie's nest. The Zubats specialize in demolitions, and will be promptly prep up bombs in the nest to forge an explosion powerful enough to wipe every Woobie in its devastating radius, with hopefully the leader caught in that blast too. You kill the leader, you have control over the others.

There has to be some way to wake her up, somehow.
On the other side of the cavern battlefield is a hefty number of Woobats, probably even more than what your side has to offer. Even though they're blind, they're quite visibly pissed. Their usual happy-go-lucky smiles are replaced by grimaces.
Their leader, a Swoobat, makes his entrance at the front of the Woobie army, "ZUZUS! We'll give you ONE last chance pack up and head on out, Connecting Cave is ours, and you guys are useless without Black Sludge, useless! Have fun remaining in NU...forever!"
