If you ever played it, it's where two people team up to do attacks together, so you could tag in one person of a team, they get a bonus effect from entry, and you mix and match them in-game to continue the combo.
Which honestly, hearing about Brent and his Pokemon, I can already get a good feeling about his team's dynamic! I'm surprised to hear about his League battling skills not being up to snuff. Maybe having a coach or someone to help him get a good feel for the League battle meta might him out?
In Ming-Ming's case, she mostly _dabbles_ in league stuff. She's collected some badges from regions here and there, but she's definitely a lot more focused on the adventuring part! Saving cats from trees, finding cool locations in the world. I imagine she'd be extra excited if someone wanted to help her out when it comes to getting good at league stuff, though! Maybe some day, Brent and Ming-Ming could be friendly rivals with one another!
