So back in Gen 7 I played a shit ton on the Battle Tree and Camerupt very often found itself on my teams because I tried climbing the tree with a mono-Ground team and it could usefully switch into Grass and Ice moves. In any case, it found itself in a lot of matchups against Ice, and in the relentless grind I found myself several times switching into an ice attack and getting frozen. As it turns out Camerupt doesn't learn any "unthawing" moves, so on a whim I dropped Solid Rock (since I often was using the Mega anyway) and adopted Magma Armor. And it was actually with that ability that I surpassed 50 wins for the first time using mono-Ground. It solved my little RNG problem. Never expected I would ever use that ability.
