>>36781112You make fair points. I can agree that Pokemon has not at all ever been a difficult game, but the difficulty has only decreased over the generations.
>"Any pokemon" - ????? no, only 152 out of 808 Pokemonsplitting hairs as of course you know I'm referring to every Pokemon in the game, though I did give Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity a hard time for not having a national dex, and I suppose it's only fair I criticize this for the same. That does suck they didn't even bother to have egg mons or 2nd/4th gen evolutions from the same evolutionary line in. Pokemon Go doing it by generations doesn't make it right.
>Um anon, have you played Gen 6? Gen 7? Hell Gen 5 had these things....Gen 6 had models for overworld, walking animations, than 2d sprites for in battle. Only your player model was animated in battle. However I am corrected in that S/M did have 3d trainer animations in and out of battle, and as much as I can harp on 3ds Pokemon for being unable to handle it's own software, at least it added them in. No, the only thing this has going for it visual-wise is not being restricted to the 3ds' shitty resolution.
>Emphasis on 'Slightly' but now there's absolutely no mystery on what you'll find in the grass cause now they're literally handed to you.Is that so bad? God knows I don't want to have to deal with Zubat encounter after Zubat encounter when I can just look around for a Paras. It's streamlined but not necessarily bad. Your 10y/o self would thank you if you gave that feature to your childhood Pokemon game.
I'm personally hesitant to call a spinoff bad simply because it's simplified or different; I thought Mystery Dungeoun sounded like the dumbest shit ever, and lo and behold I love it more than any there Pokemon series, spinoff or mainline, and if I had a nickle for every Pokemon game I didn't ask for but liked I'd be a rich man. And even those that I didn't care for, oh well not like I had pure disdain for it.
