If you removed her family completely and gave their screen time to other characters and their interactions, the game would have been 10 times better, but they decided to follow BW to a T, which means sticking in a female "rival" who you're supposed to relate to/care about. I liked Bianca, at least she tried and wasn't constantly forcing you to help her with no say in the matter by merely existing.
