Nintendo is paying us. By "us" I mean most people defending Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee on this board. It was a specific project funded by Nintendo of America in order to outnumber all the negative receptions of the games: /vp/ is just a branch of this project, but many of us received similar instructions for Reddit and various social media. Even Nintendo itself was aware LGPE are controversial games, harder to sell than your average main title, so they tried to take action.
Amongst the directives we need to follow is "showing passion and care for the franchise as a whole, but feel free to show disdain for earlier games (such as Black and White) which in their spirit might go against Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu! and Let's Go, Eevee!: this is about the good old days and this needs to be clear as much as possible from your posts."
