Hello guys from 4chan,
I’ve got nice information about the creation of some Pokémon, which were released back in Pokémon X/Y. These are originally from the official german Pokémon-Magazine. Here’s a summary of the very interesting details:
- At first they planned to create different Vivillons pattern for each continent. Their designers loved those ideas, so they ended up designing at least one per person.
- Hawlucha was planned to be included in Pokémon Black and White, but was taken out at the end, because of some problems related to the type balance. So it returned with some new design change in Pokémon X/Y.
- They decided to include Skiddo as means of transport, but leaved it out in order not to affect players without one in their teams.
- After their designers visited the Uenno Zoo ones more time, the Pokémon Pyroar and Pancham were created. The last one resembles the mascot of the zoo, which is a cute panda.
- Saya Tsuruta designed the Meowstic-Duo, which were related to their own cats.
- The biggest idea came from Mrs Nishida and Mr Sugimori including a brand new Pokémon type in XY. The new fairy type was born.
- Back to their trip in France Masuda und a group of their designers went into a french bakery encoutering awesome aromas and flavors, which inspired them to create Spritzee and Swirlix.
- Binacle follows the same concept as that behind Magneton, Eggsecute, Dugtrio and Klink.
- The shiny versions of Bunnelby and Diggersby are a homage to a classic known cartoon rabbit.
