For the people who were around during Jorneys there any documentation or basis for the idea that the OLM staff hated Serena, or that the kiss made it impossible to bring her back? That was something I saw thrown around a lot during MPM days, and I figured people were memeing to piss off you-know-who. But as I'm approaching her return in Journeys, its kind of weird how little she appears. She doesn't appear in the opening -- Dawn does, Bonnie and Clemont do, of course Iris does -- and her return episode is notoriously slim on her interactions with anyone besides Chloe. It's not as if Serena's unpopular like Max or Tracey, or has real life reasons why she can't appear like May. So It feels so weird for her to not get anything. Iris was the first female companion to not get a cameo in the next series, sure, but she got a special and Serena didn't. Clemont and Bonnie got a special even, and hell, Korrina's gotten a few episodes of spotlight in Journeys, so it's not like they don't want to go back to XY.
I'll admit I'm not her biggest fan by any means, but I feel bad for her fans. They kind of got screwed.
