The choices in the pic are kinda boring for PLZA anyway; two of them already have explicitly French-themed final evos, so what would they even do if we assume the starters are getting regionals like in PLA? And what can you even do with Scorbunny? "French footballer"? I'd say it's more fun to pick starters that are seemingly unrelated at first glance and then give them a French theme. (Though I would've been happy with just plain Kalos starters too.)
Not really the biggest fan of Scorbunny's evo line either if I'll be honest, but that's besides the point. If a starter or two I'm not a fan of gets picked for something then I'm not going to be mad. That's just childish. I've seen so many people - not just on /vp/ - act so immaturely over the PLZA starters because "weh I don't like this one and that one - everything needs to cater to me and my specific tastes".
