A year later a friend suggested to try out the SMT series since it was a monster collector and they knew I liked Pokemon, the only thing I knew about the series at the time was Persona 5 (megaten rather than smt but you get my point) but I didn't own a Playstation so I looked into what other games there were and I came across SMT IV as a result. Suffice to say, I fell in love and ever since I been playing every title from the series when I come across it. I played the entirety of the mainline series, P4G and currently playing P5R and most importantly I played Strange Journey which became my favorite JRPG and if it wasn't for USUM I probably wouldn't never checked out the series because at the time I assumed Pokemon was the only monster collector worth paying attention to so the thought of trying new things out never crossed my mind.
