Now, this is just gonna look like I slapped all the Johto and Hoeen shitmons into one route and yes that is basically what happened but there is thought process so let's analyze the route:
>SentretSpikes hard at lv 15 when it evolves, base 70ish Quick Attack/Fury Swipes will be decent for this level. Learns slam at lv 28, after that it falls off hard because it stops learning moves...
Shadow Ball will be strong for it because is physical in Gen 3. In short, Sentret is a solid choice for an early game mon.
>HoothootSurprisingly very effective even in mid to late game, because I am buffing Hypnosis acc from 60 to 70 (This is the D/P Hypnosis which I favor), this can be used as a Hypnosis bot. Noctowl also has very good special defense and Hp, so can tank your average special moves that don't hit SE. One of the two birds in this route, which is useful because the first gym is fighting... although the leader uses other types

>ZigzagoonNot only is Pickup really solid ability that gains you a lot of worth as long as you bother checking your party, Stab Headbutts from 70 atk at lv 20 will be solid. As a bonus learns Covet later on which is very good for farming certain items..
>WurmpleNot nearly as broken as Butterfree, Dustox/Beautifly still have some merit as you get them as early as lv. 10.
>WingullThe best one, by far. Pelippers stats are really good, Pelipper will have Drizzle in this game too so easily the best Route 1 mon here, which is why it's a 5 % mon.
