>>37503379Probably pointless but I'm gonna give an honest post here in case anyone wants someone's genuine thoughts on it. Let's Go is an enjoyable game, but If you've played since Gen 1 up until now, you're not gonna like it as much considering you've been to Kanto many times over by this point. Also, if you're someone who is into pokemon heavily for the competitive side of things, its probably not the best choice for that either. The best aspects are being able to see pokemon in the overworld and engage them whenever you want to, and the interactions with your partner pokemon, be it through playing with them or the additional cutscenes and interactions in the overworld they have. The game emphasizes this more and it needs to continue in future games. We need more moments like Pikachu/Eevee busting open an air vent and going off on their own to get you a key, making it feel more like an adventure and you actually have partners with you. Like many people I was reluctant to buy the game but I decided to get it anyway and form my own opinion. I'm glad I got it and it was a great experience, haven't enjoyed a pokemon game as much since HGSS but sadly that's purely restricted to the main game considering there's little post game here. There isn't even anything like pokeathlon or contests to keep your attention for a while and that's the biggest downside to the game for me personally. I also had no issue with the motion controls, and often find people complaining about them aren't using and positioning themselves right, but stick control really should've just been an option anyway. I don't really care about the price but I could understand people thinking that this isn't worthy of a 60$ price tag. If the game wasn't designed to bridge GO players into mainline pokemon we probably would've got more. I just hope the QoL changes and emphasis on pokemon interaction are kept in the next game we get.
We also better get a new mystery dungeon too.
