They also didn't slow down shit, remakes were always one a system, the only thing that dragged time out was Switch was popular, so Nintendo weren't fussed replacing it until they were good and ready, unlike with GBA and 3DS. which were both so poor performers, they binned them as soon as humanly possible (and moved Game Freak to home hardware with the latter) to get away form the stench of failure.
