My best advice is switch the pessimistic “What if I’ll fail” mindset to a optimistic “What if I succeed?” mindset. Instead of thinking what you could do to mess up, think about why you got in this position in the first place. Every time you think negatively, think of a best case scenario to counteract it. As for why, I won’t diagnose you but it seems like anxiety. Definitely seek professional help so you can get rid of those negative thoughts faster. It’s going to take a lot to work on that but I think you’re more than capable of doing it.
