People who hate gen 1 point out Jynx, Mr.Mime, Tangela and Voltorb as terrible pokemon designs that ought to be scrapped, but there are four gen 1 pokemon that really shouldn't exist. Nidorino, Nidorina, Poliwhirl and Weepinbell. They're all meaningless middle stages that add nothing to the game or the lore while exemplifying the "it gets bigger" philosophy of lazy design. I would maybe add Pidgeotto but it's basically a starter and helps add understanding of the mechanics for noobs.
