On one hand, it's a new console with the standard hype behind it, but on the other hand, Gen 3 and Gen 5 are in the bottom 3 least-selling generations overall, and one of the most prominent criticisms about both were the Pokedex, specifically getting all the Pokemon in gen 3 and being forced to use the regional Pokemon in Gen 5
If Pokemon can sell around the same numbers as SM even if it's as barebones as the past few games, I feel like I could consider it more powerful of a franchise than Star Wars and Sonic combined
