Her houndoom was a fighting dog, so it's tail and ears are all fucked up.
I know houndooms don't technically have ears but it looks fucking weird without it so I give them ears.
She payed the guy off to take the dog when it was thrown out back.
Her Lycanroc was a runt puppy. Now it's the biggest dog she has.
You get the general idea. She hasn't caught one from friendly terms yet.
Also on the weapons subject, she can use her arm like Guts's cannon. Or a multi tool.
