>>35735292I don't hate Kanto specifically, it's middle of the road for me, even though Yellow was my first game. Going back to it in FRLG made me realize I don't care for the region much at all, but I DID enjoy it in HGSS because it was an add on, not the focus.
What I hate is that Gamefreak keeps saying "Hey gamers! Remember Kanto? Remember Pikachu? Remember Charizard and Mewtwo?" Then beats us over the fucking face with Gen 1 Megas, Gen 1 Alolan forms, Gen 1 characters and evil teams popping up, Gen 1 movies where we rewatch the first episode of the anime, Gen 1 fucking everything.
There are now 7 generations, but only one gets focused, I hate feeling neglected because my favorite regeion happens to be [literally anything that isn't fucking Gen 1]
Kanto isn't the problem, Gamefreak is.
