But as you can tell from pic related, this isn't the approach I had intended, nor change to. Partially because genders are a fairly fleeting topic for creatures like this (could even end up genderless), but most importantly: evolving a Pokemon never actually requires more than one Pokemon despite what any dex entry says.
I suppose this wouldn't be impossible to implement, but it certainly opens up a can of worms regarding what is inherited from which mon, among other things. It's a cool concept, but if I'd tackle it, I have that goal in mind from the start, and not something added on afterwards.
I'll be stealing Suction Cups and Aftermath as good choice of abilities though. Thanks anon.
