The journey of a trainer is often said to be a metaphor for growing up and even though BW1 railroads the crap out of you into "accepting the destiny" it's like the game's communicating that sacrifice is a part of progress, especially since the trainer is far beyond Bianca and Cheren's level at that point. Some might think the theme's a bit badass, some think it a bit somber or even relaxing but it's not so much the theme itself so much as when in the game you first hear it that gives it the strongest impression.
