The incident that really blackpilled me on this thread and got me to really let go was seeing a heated autistic argument about some game mechanic or lore thing and going "w-well, at least the sperging is on-topic this time?" before seeing it devolve into namedropping and accusing each other of being mad over x or y other argument... The realization that even the game arguments had become extensions of discord arguments is what finally killed my last bit of interest in the thread, so at most I only lurk now. If I want to talk about PMD these days, I just message one of my friends instead.
