Honestly, they would have to be pretty careful with Serena’s return, unless its superficial like Dawn’s. Even then, I’m pretty sure a Serena return would be heavy on Ash interaction and that wouldn’t work anyway. So they would have to address the crush, and in all likelihood nothing would happen as Ash isn’t exactly a romantic. So it would either be brushed off, or feel out of place with the rest of the series. At this point in my thought process I would rather she just didn’t come back at all, and this is as a Serenafag. Her ending was good, and complete. While it would be nice to see how shes been doing, I’m not sure I would want to see her arc potentially ruined by Tomiyasu’s retardation. We are getting a Sylveon trainer later this year, but thats probably a COTD unless they really want to break the internet with this new OP.
