>>52599137I admire the autism, but I'm just not feeling it. The breaks are a bit jarring and feel out of place. The lengthened bars themselves are choppy and feel a bit like it clashes with the original work. I commend and applaud you for the effort, and it definitely works as a remix.
But it will be prohibitively hard to put this on a pedestal over the original - especially with the somewhat lackluster breaks and pauses that weren't indicative of the GB-era of music. For someone who purports to have studied Masuda, your piece seems to overlook the Sound Driver's signature 3 voices in one octave range, each distinct of one another, and easily identifiable because of pitch frequencies - melody, chromatic pattern, and 2-note repetition. These things interrupted with a bridge or hook or note series that 'breaks' sounds clunky and out of place in an otherwise more cleanly joint composition.
As a fellow music autist, I also have to express that you might want to tweak your transcription skills a bit. All this to say. You are not untalented. You clearly have a lot of passion. But your energy may be misdirected, your presentation skills a bit self-aggrandizing, and your ultimate product mediocre.
