I almost always defend Smogon on their more reasonable banning policy, I think maintaining a healthy metagame is a pretty noble choice. But who are we kidding, OP offensive stuff sells game while boring defensive Pokemon are just fillers. Soon stall will be dead by the virtue of simply not being able to check and cover 100% of the metagame, considering the number of threats will just shoots up every gen. I think the stress after not being able to get Gen V metagame under control and the flood of newfags into XY metagame kinda broke Smogon.
