As for the cards you mentioned, I really like Dark Jolteon and was able to pull a couple of near mint 1st editions out of my ass and put the best one in my binder. For the Ho-oh I ran across one in acceptable condition for a good price. I wasn't a fan of it until I got it in person. I like it enough that I would buy one in better condition but not enough that I would be willing to pay market price for it. So it's all about how much you like a card and the kind of collection you want to have.
