However, telepathy and telekinesis are very often grouped together, as they are the de-facto "ascended abilities" [alien-uberman-shaman traits]. If you want to distance telekinesis from dimensional twisting [trick room, portals etc], then Psychic is still justified as the mons may not literally distort dimensions, just hypnotise you to think so [hallucinations]. On the other hand, telepathy and telekinesis are often grouped with teleportation, hence portal-space-magic is also justified.
However, the core argument against Cosmic is that it doesn't mean what you think. A Cosmic mon wouldn't just be a green pikachu from Venus, that would still be Electric or whatever. Just being from a different planet or living on top of a meteor or being a meteor does not translate to having dimensional warping powers. Because that is what the Cosmic type really entails. The power over the fabric of the universe. It can't be defined as anything else. It's the Portal or Gravity type. Therefore, only Ascended beings would have the ability to command such forces. Beings that can tap into higher dimensions through their conciousness. Which category consists of beings that train their consciousness? Psychics.
