Legends has given us 1 new legendary to add onto an existing trio and two new forms for box legendaries. Safe to bet legendary pokemon are gonna be a big part of a game series called Pokemon Legends. So do you have any predictions? If they stick with the precedent then we'll get a new member of a random trio and new forms for Yvetal and Xerneas with nothing new for the title mon Zygarde.
I think the birds, beasts, and swords of justice are out since they all got 'regional' variants the last two gens, plus Keldeo is already kind of a fourth member. Regis also already got 2 new members recently plus Regigas was also sort of a new member. The emotion trio also have pretty close ties to Sinnoh and got attention in the last game. So here are some thoughts for the more out there picks.
Latis: Could throw a curve ball and introduce a 3rd or even 4th Lati, one of each gender.
Tapus: Seems pretty unlikely since they are tied so closely to Alola and are probably the legendaries most closely tied to their home region. But it could be similar to a tapu without technically being one.
Galar: A new Urshifu form would be pretty easy to explain, or a new horse for Calyrex.
Paldea: A missing 5th member of the dark treasures could possibly make sense, or a new paradox forms of two lesser legendaries like ancient Cresselia or robo Darkrai.
