GF makes every Dragon-type a pseudo for a reason. Plus there's been a legendary dragon every gen since gen 3. Lugia was made Psychic just to seem cooler despite it not really making sense. Plus there's been a legendary psychic every gen. Lucario being Steel seems to also be a Lugia situation, since it doesn't make sense otherwise.
I moved Ghost down because there's no Pokemon with Ghost slapped on just to be cooler and GF doesn't go out of their way to make a cool ghost. But they are generally cool and get good attention. Same with Fighting, Fairy, and Dark types. Slapping them on makes a Pokemon a bit cooler, but not automatically cool.
Electric and Fire aren't really cool in most cases, but Fire is Charizard's type and the most common type for shilled starters, and every gen has an Electric Pikaclone made to be shilled.
Ice, Water, Poison, Ground, Flying, and Rock are all just elements. They don't lean towards cool or uncool. Fire and Electric would also be here if not for Pikaclones and Fire starters.
Grass and Bug get treated poorly and are generally regarded as weak types by GF. Grass is designed to be bad at direct combat, which is lame, and Bugs are designed to be early-route shitmons, also lame. But that said, GF doesn't just slap Grass or Bug on things to make them less cool.
Normal is the bottom of the barrel.
>>46684854 explains it pretty well. Normal can be added to a Pokemon to make it seem lamer. It's the "just an animal" type.
That said, Normal isn't always lame and Dragon/Psychic/Steel aren't always cool. Some Pokemon just have those types because they fit or in the case of Normal, because nothing else fits any better.
