People said this during SwSh and nothing really happened. Digimon Day failed, Digimon Survive was alright but didn't really catch everyone's imagination, the card game did pretty great but powercreep is starting to show up and Ghost Game was well received, but there's still plenty of nostalgia pandering that digifags complain about.
SMT V did amazingly well but its reception was "yeah it's alright" and most non-smtfags don't know how much nostalgia pandering and persona-fying the series has gone through in the past decade, and Atlus is insanely incompetent.
DQM got revived this year and seems to be doing pretty good though, but that's after years of not getting English releases
