rocket edition is BASED and is the best romhack I have ever played. Maybe its because Im an OG pkmn oldfag but this game seamlessly integrated so many of the oldschool fan theories about gen 1 and to a lesser extent gen 2.

The original plot was a teen/young adult friendly world with rampant crime and genetic experimentation. pkmn death, war and occupation, these things are shown to the player with little breadcrumbs.
the Elite 4 being more than celebrities and something of an authority makes total sense in the setting. All authority is derived from force, real world fact that inevitably bleeds into fictional world-building too (so saying it is needlessly "political" or gAmE of tHrROnEz is pointless and unfounded).
pokemon isnt somehow above the concept of force=power/control. Ghetsis understands this, Giovanni understands this canonically.

stealing monsters is taking the dickmove easy route, yes. Thats kind of the point. Stealing better mons makes the game have a refreshingly fast-paced momentum. I like the FRRocketEdition and I don't give a shit what /vp/ thinks. I never even see praise here, just pissants like you
